Digital Transformation requires everybody to first have some basic understanding of the technology powers behind this transformation.
Here in TechAdvisorBlueZone we love to share our knowledge so you can smoothly move to MultiCloud.
–What is a Cloud?
Cloud computing is the set of computing services—including, storage, servers, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) .
Cloud Computing offers innovation, flexible resources, and faster scale. You typically pay only for cloud services you use, helping you lower your operating costs, you will be able to manage your infrastructure more efficiently, and scale faster if needed.
Now I am going to talk about the different types of Cloud available.
-Public Cloud
-Private Cloud
-Hybrid Cloud
Public cloud
Public clouds are owned and managed by a third-party cloud service providers for example Microsoft with Azure, Amazon with AWS, Google with GCP,
Cloud Providers will deliver their computing resources like servers and storage over the Internet.
With a public cloud, all hardware, software, and other supporting infrastructure is owned and managed by the cloud provider. You access these services and manage your account using a web browser.
Private cloud
A private cloud is a set of cloud computing resources used exclusively by a single enterprise or organization.
A private cloud can be physically located on the company’s on-site datacenter (on-premises) however some companies also pay third-party service providers to host their private cloud.
A private cloud services and infrastructure are maintained on a private network.
Hybrid cloud
Hybrid clouds combine public and private clouds, to work together and allows data and applications to be shared, with Hybrid Cloud you can extend your On-prem DC to the cloud.
By allowing data and applications to move between private and public clouds, a hybrid cloud gives your business greater flexibility, more deployment options, and helps optimize your existing infrastructure, security, and compliance.
For example, when you have applications or servers that you can’t move to the Cloud for different reasons like legal compliance or infrastructure requirements you can use Hybrid Cloud to use your private cloud in combination with the benefits of the public cloud.
